‘The Running Wave,’ is as rugged, passionate, and enigmatic as the beautifully unforgiving land it celebrates. It’s one of the finest Scottish folk albums of the year.

ABOUT FIDRA

“So fresh and crystialine, and it has such a strong, organic purity to it... It’s atmospheric, it’s intriguing... and inspiring too” - Small Music Scene

"Beautiful" - Grant Scott, BBC Radio Scotland

"A lovely sound, instruments weaving melody lines around each other in a very pleasing way" - Celtic Music Radio

Fidra is a folk music project based in Leith, Scotland, led by singer-songwriter Craig Salter. Fidra's music is inspired by the natural beauty of the Scottish landscape and the rich musical heritage of the country. Intricate guitar work, profound vocals and soaring fiddle create a unique sound that is both captivating and emotional.

Bringing together musicians from across Scotland, Fidra’s music evokes elements of traditional Scottish folk music combined with a modern edge, blending a wide range of acoustic and electronic sounds.
